Full-timeDescriptionPosition:Strategic Finance AnalystJob Type:Exempt - Full-timeLocation:RemoteSchedule:Monday to FridayReports To:Strategic Finance ManagerPay Range:$85000 to $95000 BonusEligibility Requirement:Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.without sponsorshipSummaryPosition Overview:The Strategic Finance Analyst plays a crucial role in building our financial infrastructure and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our organization.You will work closely with the VP and Manager of Finance develop financial plans manage budgets and drive financial performance.Additionally you will provide strategic guidance and analysis to support decision-making and growth initiatives.The Analyst is a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual who is passionate about our mission and driven by results.Essential FunctionsDevelop and maintain the companys financial budgets and forecasts.This involves working closely with the data team to ensure analysis is rooted in quality data and the growth team to drive growth and clarity with partners owning financial modeling for the organization and then consolidating this information into comprehensive financial plansBuild financial models to evaluate various scenarios and make informed decisions.These models might include:cash flow projections revenue forecasts expense analyses sensitivity analyses to assess potential risks and opportunities TAM analyses cohort analyses and unit economics analysesMonitor the companys financial performance against budgets and forecasts.Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and track them regularly to assess the companys progress towards its goalsAnalyze variances between actual financial results and budgeted/forecasted figures.Investigate the reasons behind discrepancies and provide insights to management to help improve performancePrepare regular financial reports for internal stakeholders (e.g.management team and board of directors) as well as external parties (e.g.investors lenders).These reports may include income statements balance sheets cash flow statements and other relevant financial metricsConduct ad hoc financial analyses as requested by management to address specific questions or concerns such as pricing strategies cost optimization initiatives or performance benchmarking against competitorsRequirementsRequired SkillsHighly proficient in ExcelStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional communication and presentation skillsDetail orientedAble to work with ambiguity and tell a story with numbersRequired Education and ExperienceBachelors degree in Business or related field (Required)Background in investment banking or startup finance/business development experience preferredExperience with board or client deliverablesProven financial modeling and analysis experience ideally in a healthcare startup or similar fast-paced environmentExperience creating budgets forecasting and financial reportingPhysical requirementsMust have a home office that is secure and free of distractions (HIPAA-compliant workspace)Prolonged periods of sitting at the desk and working on a computerMust be able to hear speak call and virtually meetMust be able to communicate both verbally and in writingWork EnvironmentIn order to perform the essential functions of this job you must have a dedicated remote workspace and a wireless connection with a minimum of 50 Mbps of download speed and 10 Mbps of upload speed of dedicated internet bandwidth for each person working from home;
