Green Brick Mortgage is seeking a motivated and experienced Loan Officer to join our team in Plano, TX. As a Loan Officer, you will be responsible for assisting clients in securing mortgage loans for their home purchases, refinancing, or other needs. This role involves evaluating loan applications, providing personalized financial advice, and ensuring a seamless process from application to closing.
The Loan Officer must believe in, practice, and initiate all Green Brick Partners values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be honest, objective, mature and efficient in how they approach their role at Green Brick Partners.
Responsibilities include originating residential mortgage loans, evaluating and recommending loan products to meet client needs, collecting and reviewing financial documents from clients, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products, industry regulations, and company policies, providing exceptional customer service throughout the loan process, developing and maintaining relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other industry professionals, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company guidelines.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
Competencies include strong knowledge of mortgage lending practices, regulations, and guidelines, excellent communication and customer service skills, proficiency in loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite, and an NMLS license required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mortgage loan origination.
