IT Support Engineer

Salary: $55,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require at least 2 years of professional IT or help desk experience.
• We need hands-on Level 2 desktop support experience for Windows and macOS endpoints.
• We require strong Microsoft 365 administration skills, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Security & Compliance, and OneDrive.
• We need practical networking troubleshooting and configuration experience with DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN or remote access, and firewall policies.
• We require experience working with SonicWall, Meraki, or UniFi networking equipment.
• We need experience administering Azure AD, Active Directory, and Group Policy, along with foundational Azure administration involving virtual machines, networking, and resource handling.
• We require prior involvement in IT projects such as hardware installations, network deployments, software transitions, and cloud rollouts.
• We need experience using at least one ITSM or ticketing platform.
• We require clear communication skills for delivering technical updates directly to clients.
• We require authorization to work in the United States.
• We require the ability to travel to client locations about 15% of the time.
• We require availability for rotating after-hours or on-call support.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related IT discipline.
• We prefer experience with Windows Autopilot for device setup and deployment.
• We prefer experience configuring SPF, DKIM, and DMARC email security records.
• We prefer experience with advanced Microsoft Entra ID features, including Conditional Access.
• We prefer PowerShell scripting experience.
• We prefer at least one relevant certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft MS-100/MS-101.

Responsibilities:

• We provide Level 2 support for Windows, macOS, and mobile devices running iOS or Android.
• We administer Microsoft 365 environments across Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Security & Compliance, and OneDrive.
• We configure and troubleshoot networking infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rules.
• We manage endpoints through Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• We support Azure administration tasks such as Azure AD, virtual machines, networking, and resource management.
• We configure email authentication and protection records, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• We troubleshoot hardware and software issues, apply patches, and update drivers.
• We use ITSM and ticketing tools to track support cases and keep documentation accurate.
• We assist with IT projects, including on-site equipment installs, network builds, software migrations, and cloud deployments.
• We participate in rotating after-hours or on-call support as needed.
• We provide client training on IT best practices and security awareness.
• We proactively spot, investigate, and resolve issues before they impact operations.
• We build strong client relationships through responsive, professional support.
