Entry Phlebotomist I

Our client, a medical research company, is looking for an Entry Phlebotomist I for their Pembroke Pines, FL location. Responsibilities include:

• Helping with patient care by greeting them upon arrival and answering any questions or concerns with care and compassion.
• Maintaining the integrity of the waiting area and assisting with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable.
• Utilizing Phlebotomy skills to grow within the company.
• Creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining what to expect to patients regarding the scheduled procedure for the patients in a safe and accurate manner.
• Demonstrating excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
• Maintaining a safe and professional environment.
• Maintaining required records and documentation.
• Demonstrating organizational commitment and promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general along with a willingness to learn new skills.

Requirements include:

• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
• Willingness to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help with breaks that need to be covered.
• Performing with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• High level of customer service experience/skills are required - this is critical to the heart of the role.
• High school diploma or equivalent required - no exceptions.
• Phlebotomy experience is required, even if just an intern/externship to learn the basics.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of client facing customer service required (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc).
• Some Phlebotomy experience is required.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
