This MRI Technologist position is based in Baltimore, Maryland, a vibrant harbor city known for its historic waterfront, diverse neighborhoods, and rich cultural scene. Baltimore’s location in the Mid-Atlantic provides convenient access to Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and New York, while still offering its own distinctive charm and community feel. You will work in a modern imaging environment with access to advanced MRI technology designed to support high-quality diagnostic imaging. The department emphasizes collaboration, safety, and patient-centered care. Typical responsibilities include performing routine and complex MRI exams, preparing and positioning patients, screening for contraindications, coordinating with radiologists and nursing staff, and ensuring image quality and diagnostic usefulness. You can expect to work with a varied caseload that may include neuro, musculoskeletal, body, vascular, and trauma-related studies, providing strong exposure to complex and interesting cases. A typical day involves reviewing scheduled exams, verifying orders and protocols, preparing rooms and equipment, and guiding patients through the MRI process to ensure comfort and safety. Patient volumes are managed to balance efficiency with thorough, attentive care. Shifts are structured to support departmental coverage needs and may include days, evenings, weekends, or on-call rotations depending on the specific assignment, with hours tailored to maintain consistent workflow and support for the larger care team.
