Job description
Job OverviewUnder the supervision of the Transportation Manager and Dispatch Coordinator, a Class A Interstate Commercial Truck Driver is responsible for daily transportation assignments. You are responsible for timely and successful completion of pick-up and delivery assignments and must assist loading and unloading materials as needed. As a Bedrosians truck driver, you are an integral part to our company's success, whether you are delivering to one of our branches or directly to one of our customers. DutiesAbility to maintain perfect attendance and punctualityEnsure timely and successful completion of deliveriesUnload and load materials Work in conjunction with Dispatch Coordinator to ensure successful completion of deliveriesFollow federal and company safety procedures Ability to comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Hours of Service (HOS) manual and/or Electronic Long Data (ELD)Conduct Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) per the FMCSADemonstrate proper driving habitsMaintain proper paperworkOrganize and submit required paperwork to Dispatch CoordinatorWork within the framework of the company's defined policies, procedures, goals, and directives Any other duties required of this position Minimum Qualifications1+ year of commercial driving experienceExcellent attendance at current or previous employmentMust pass DOT drug testMust pass a background check and motor vehicle reportMust provide valid Medical Card Must pass basic physical testMust pass a Bedrosians road testMust provide valid Class A CDLAbility to lift up to 100 lbs.Reliable attendance, punctuality and good time management skillsGood customer service Good communication skillsAbility to follow written and oral directionsAbility to read, interpret and follow company policies and procedures, state and federal regulationsMaintain accurate log bookAbility to ensure all safety procedures are followedMust pass a drug/alcohol test PerksCompetitive compensation Rotating schedules2012-Current FleetDriver Assigned Equipment (Power Unit)National Fleet of 100 Onsite FuelingFreightliner Fleet trucks Excellent Fleet MaintenanceELD/GPS SystemA+ CSA Safety Rating Bedrosians is an Equal Opportunity Employer that promotes, for the health of its employees, a Drug-Free Workplace philosophy.
