Supply Chain Analyst
Location: Austin, TX Alternate Locations: Seattle, WA; Fremont, CA Duration: 12 Months, with potential for extension Pay Rate: $75/hr on W2
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Analyst V to support material readiness, supply continuity, and production execution across complex hardware infrastructure programs. In this role, you will work closely with global ODM partners, internal cross-functional teams, and stakeholders across the supply chain organization to ensure materials are available to support critical build schedules.
You will serve as a key point of coordination between the organization and its ODM partners, driving visibility into material shortages, identifying supply risks, and ensuring actionable recovery plans are established and executed.
This is an execution-focused role requiring strong operational judgment, analytical ability, partner management, and communication skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where priorities can shift quickly and supply constraints require immediate action.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day engagement with global ODM partners, including partners based in APAC, to drive material readiness and production execution.
- Monitor material availability, shortages, supply constraints, and production requirements against established build plans.
- Partner with ODM planning and procurement teams to identify material gaps and drive timely resolution.
- Communicate material shortages and supply risks clearly to FTEs and cross-functional (XFN) stakeholders, ensuring appropriate visibility and escalation.
- Drive action items with FTEs, XFN partners, and ODMs on a regular basis and maintain accountability through resolution.
- Analyze supply and material data to identify risks, trends, dependencies, and potential impacts to production schedules.
- Develop and track recovery actions for material shortages and supply constraints.
- Coordinate across planning, procurement, engineering, logistics, manufacturing, commodity management, and other cross-functional teams to resolve execution issues.
- Support MRP alignment, Commit-to-Build (CTB) activities, material availability tracking, and shortage management.
- Translate complex supply chain issues into concise, actionable updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Establish strong working relationships with external ODM partners and internal stakeholders to maintain operational discipline and execution.
- Navigate ambiguity and competing priorities while maintaining focus on production readiness and business-critical deliverables.
Must Have Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in materials management, supply planning, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience within the technology, hardware, software, or high-tech industry.
- Hands-on experience working directly with ODM planning and procurement teams.
- Experience managing material readiness, shortages, supply constraints, or production execution within a complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain execution, material planning, and production processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess supply risks and develop actionable recovery plans.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management, conflict management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, manufacturing operations, or related disciplines.
- Experience within hyperscale, cloud infrastructure, data center, ODM, or EMS environments.
- Experience supporting server, network, storage, or infrastructure hardware programs.
- Experience managing complex BOMs in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Experience with MRP systems and material planning processes.
- Familiarity with Commit-to-Build (CTB) processes and production readiness.
- Mandarin language proficiency.
- Experience working with global supply chain organizations and APAC-based manufacturing partners.
Interview Process
The interview process consists of:
- One interview round
- Technical and partnership-focused panel interview
- Approximately 1 hour
Candidates should be prepared to discuss their experience with ODM engagement, material shortages, supply chain execution, production readiness, stakeholder management, and cross-functional problem solving.
Important Candidate Consideration
This is not a strategic sourcing or contract-negotiation role. The position is heavily focused on supply chain execution, materials readiness, shortage management, ODM coordination, and production support.
Candidates should have demonstrated hands-on experience driving execution with ODMs and cross-functional stakeholders rather than primarily focusing on sourcing, supplier negotiations, or contract management.
