The SSG Experience Schedule & Stability
- Monday-Friday: 8:15 AM-3:15 PM, with a 60-minute unpaid lunch (30 hours per week)
- Services delivered on-site in a school setting

Role Overview As a Paraprofessional, you'll be a positive, trusted presence for students ages 12-22, supporting their learning, growth, and well-being. Working alongside teachers and school staff, you'll provide instructional, behavioral, and classroom support while helping create a safe, respectful, and encouraging learning environment. Your role matters not just for academic progress, but for showing up as a steady, caring adult in a young person's day.
What You'll Do
- Build trusting, consistent relationships with students
- Provide classroom, small-group, and 1:1 support based on student needs
- Assist students with assignments and provide general academic support
- Provide behavioral support using positive, trauma-informed practices
- Offer emotional and social support to help students engage, participate, and thrive
- Assist with personal care as needed, which may include mobility, feeding, and toileting support
- Collect accurate data on student progress
- Partner with teachers and classroom aides on daily instruction and routines
- Follow all school safety, confidentiality, and behavioral procedures
- Adapt to caseload changes as student needs evolve

Pay Information Hourly Rate: $22.00-$26.00, based on education and experience. Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in special education, behavioral support, mental health, youth services, or a similar setting is required
- Comfortable supporting students with a range of learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Able to thrive in a structured environment and follow established procedures
- Able to maintain appropriate professional boundaries
- Flexible and open to working with students of varying ages and changing caseloads
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Must complete Live Scan background check and TB clearance
- Must complete onboarding and required trainings prior to start
Experience That Transfers Well
- Special education paraprofessional or instructional aide roles
- Youth services, mentoring, or after-school program experience
- Behavioral health or mental health support work
- ABA or behavioral support experience
- Classroom or school support roles
- Psychology, education, social work, or human services background
