Job Title
The role involves helping to administer the Department's compliance with various acts and performance requirements. Key duties include:
1. Administering the Department's compliance with the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA), the GPRA Modernization Act, the Program Management Improvement and Accountability Act, and the performance requirements contained in the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) Circular A-11.
2. Planning and coordinating the development of the Annual Performance Plan and Agencies' Annual Management Plans (AMP).
3. Ensuring measures are developed, implemented, and improved to support Department goals.
4. Coordinating the Department's Annual Performance Report, preparing guidance and analyzing results.
5. Working with the Departmental Budget Center (DBC) to ensure continuous feedback of program results into the budget process and participating equally with DBC in the Deputy Secretary's annual budget formulation process.
6. Leading the Department's Continuous Process Improvement program, applying Lean Six Sigma and modern program management practices to analyze operational processes, pilot improvements, and implement streamlined, re-engineered business processes that measurably improve performance, efficiency, and service delivery.
