Pay: $22.00/hr. + 13% 3rd Shift DifferentialSchedule: 40 hours/week, with a 30-minute lunchTraining: Training will likely be provided on 1st shift
Position Summary:
We are looking for a Converting Operator to operate converting/slitting machinery used to process coated and laminated products according to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Operate converting and slitting machines to cut coated or laminated materials to specified lengths.
Load and unload material using a hydraulic lift.
Set up machines, including blades, rewind shafts, speed, tension, and taper.
Feed film through the machine while checking tension and alignment.
Use a core cutter to cut cores to required lengths.
Follow work orders and process instructions for wrapping, labeling, and taping.
Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
Use basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, and Allen wrenches.
Enter material information into the QAD system.
Follow all manufacturing and safety procedures.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
Manufacturing or machinery experience preferred.
Experience with converting, slitting, film, plastic, paper, laminating, or similar production machinery is a plus.
Ability to read work orders and follow detailed instructions.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Ability to make basic machine adjustments and troubleshoot equipment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs independently.
Ability to move plastic film rolls up to 200 lbs with assistance.
Ability to push carts weighing up to 140 lbs.
Must be comfortable standing, walking, reaching, bending, and working around moving machinery.
PPE such as safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, dust masks, and safety glasses may be required.
