Senior Financial Planning Analyst

Roth Staffing is looking for Senior Financial Planning Analyst in Irvine, CA. The position offers a pay rate of $75.00 - $79.31/hour. This role is ideal for finance professionals with experience in financial modeling, variance analysis, budgeting/forecasting, financial reporting, CAPEX/OPEX management, and workforce/vendor expense planning. Responsibilities include developing/maintaining and delivering moderate to complex strategic financial analysis to support business operations and decisions, analyzing financial and business information and key drivers at a business unit or functional level to assess business issues, drawing conclusions and providing recommendations for determining courses of action, developing, delivering and assessing the fiscal year plan and forecasts for a business unit or function as well as multi-year financial projects, supporting the annual budgeting process with analysis, reporting, and financial modeling, developing and delivering moderate to complex business management reports and key financial metrics, including recurring financial analysis, and performing ad hoc financial analysis.

Skills include strong Excel & analytical skills in areas of high complexity and ambiguity, strong problem solving skills, well organized with a proven ability of successfully juggling multiple tasks and a strong track record of meeting deadlines, experience in analyzing complex financial reports, general knowledge of mutual funds or experience in the investment management industry is preferred, and strong communication skills and ability to effectively partner with the global finance team and business partners.

Must have financial modeling, variance analysis, financial reporting (budget, actuals, forecast), capex/opex understanding, workforce (internal & external) / 3rd party vendors expense management. Nice to have tech industry knowledge (e.g., Cloud, Infra, FinOps, AI). Tools: SAP/S4/Hana, SAC, PBI, ADVANCED excel.

Qualifications include a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related function, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related degree, MBA is preferred but not required, strong written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills, strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc) and experience with an enterprise accounting system (such as SAP), exceptional analytical skills and the ability to understand the impact of operations on financial results.
