DC Shipping Coordinator, 1st Shift, M-F, 7am-3:30pm
Job Purpose: The Shipping & Receiving Operator coordinates shipping documents and reconciles production reporting daily; prepares transport documents for out of country shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate receipt, filing, and accuracy of shipping documents
- Prepare shipping documents, including out of country shipments
- Ensures required documents are accurately completed and maintained in an orderly file
- Accurately and timely completes entries into BAAN/SAP
- Creates plan shipment documents
- Provides backup coverage for Logistics Specialist and other department employees when assigned
- Must be able to operate a lift truck, and have or be able to obtain a forklift truck license
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED from an accredited institution and at least 1-year experience in an administrative support role and or shipping receiving position at a manufacturing facility or distribution center
- Ability to use computer systems including MRP and MS office
- Ability to read and interpret documents in local language, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to do mathematical functions, including add, subtract, multiply, divide, interpret Pareto Charts, Bar graphs, Flow charts, and other quality tools
General Job Requirements:
This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands. This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company's driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements.
