Shipping And Receiving Forklift Operator

US Farathane is seeking a Shipping And Receiving Forklift Operator. Se busca conductor de montecargas con experiencia en recibos/envios.

Summary: Assist in warehouse functions required to insure accurate inventories, receipts, and shipments to internal and external customers. Must be able to drive a sit-down forklift. A forklift test will be conducted during the interview.

Duties And Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned:

• Assist in cycle counting of warehouse inventories.
• Assist in auditing inbound and outbound shipments.
• Operate a hi-lo upon successful completion of training course and written test.
• Accurately operate shipping and receiving equipment including bar code equipment and UPS machine.
• Assemble warehouse racking as needed.
• Load trucks with finished goods for customers, verifying shipper with product loaded.
• Unload, receive in, and put away in proper location purchased material after quantity verification and inspection.
• Keep warehouse organized and clean.
• Responsible for seeing that stock is rotated (FIFO First In First Out).
• Assist in cycle counting and auditing inbound and outbound shipments.
• Stage and label correctly all outbound product.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, Level II procedures, etc.)
• Comply with of all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; or move up to 50 pounds. The employee frequently is required to stand or walk. The employee must occasionally sit, climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus, depth perception, peripheral vision, distance vision, and close vision.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
