Office Assistant
Interlaken, Inc. is a growing, Woman-Owned site and utility excavation company serving the Greater Portland area. Our clients include local municipalities and private contractors, and we've built a solid reputation by being dependable and doing quality work.
We're looking for an Office Assistant who will be the face of Interlake - the first impression for every visitor, vendor, and team member who walks through the door. This is an entry-level role designed for someone who is organized, personable, and genuinely curious, with a creative mind that enjoys working with data and a natural interest in people and how a company operates. You'll primarily support our Office & HR Manager while also helping other members of the admin team day to day.
No prior experience in construction is required - we're happy to train the right person. We just need someone who shows up, pays attention, and genuinely cares about doing good work. Open to full or part time!
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, vendors, and staff - in person and by phone
- Provide administrative support to the Office & HR Manager and the broader admin team
- Assist with printing, scanning, filing, and document preparation
- Help track and maintain data in spreadsheets and shared drive systems
- Assist with light HR tasks such as onboarding prep and employee file maintenance
- Manage office supplies and conduct quarterly inventory checks
- Attend to general office needs to keep things running smoothly day to day
