JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily warehouse, inventory, shipping, and logistics operations to ensure accurate inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and efficient product movement throughout the supply chain. This role serves as a key communication link between Warehouse Operations, Inventory Control, Shipping & Receiving, Quality, Production, Sales and Transportation by coordinating inventory activities, managing inventory transactions, reviewing FIFO compliance, supporting order execution, and ensuring accurate shipment and transfer coordination.
The Warehouse Coordinator must demonstrate strong attention to detail, a high sense of urgency, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively utilize ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to support operational decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review inventory levels and locations to ensure proper FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) inventory management.
- Identify inventory locations and coordinate product movement to support customer orders, production requirements, and warehouse optimization.
- Coordinate and monitor order execution within the ERP system to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Work extensively within ERP systems to review inventory transactions, transfers, shipments, and order status.
- Review inventory accuracy and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Support date code management and coordinate with Quality to ensure product release eligibility for shipment.
- Review product availability and communicate inventory concerns that may impact customer orders or production schedules.
- Coordinate internal warehouse transfers and product movements between facilities and third-party warehouses.
- Dispatch and coordinate freight transfers for both customer shipments and production-related inventory needs.
- Support inventory reconciliation activities, cycle counts, and inventory audits (including transactional location reconciliation)
- Assist in reviewing shipping documentation, inventory transactions, and system records for accuracy.
- Provide cross-functional support to Inventory Control, Shipping & Receiving, Production, Quality, Customer Service, and Transportation teams.
- Escalate inventory, shipment, or operational issues to Supply Chain Leadership as needed.
- Generate and analyze reports utilizing Microsoft Excel to support operational decisions and performance tracking.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support inventory traceability and audit requirements.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse and supply chain operations.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and other applicable standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse, inventory control, logistics, or supply chain experience preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including spreadsheets, formulas, filtering, sorting, and reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems required; Business Central experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including FIFO practices.
- Experience coordinating shipments, transfers, and warehouse operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain accuracy while working with time-sensitive information.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus and recognize color. Must be able to manipulate a computer keyboard that can involve repetitive motion. Must be able to use office machinery such as a copy machine, printer, and computer. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Employee is exposed to non-weather wet condition and sub-freezing temperatures. Floors are wet and slippery and anti-slip shoes are required. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a recent graduate or in the process of obtaining a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
- Proficient with computers and office 365 programs (especially Excel).
- Basic understanding of GAAP and introductory principles of accounting and finance.
- Basic understanding of accounting software.
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
- Ability to work independently with general guidance and direction.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
