Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications. This role offers remote flexibility with quarterly travel to Dallas, TX. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences and ensure high-quality standards through best practices and modern development principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications aligned with project requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to define app features and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, peer reviews, and adherence to best practices.
  • Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement bug fixes.
  • Stay current with Android frameworks, tools, and trends to drive innovation.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering technical growth within the team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience building, debugging, and supporting Android applications using Kotlin .
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose in production / enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with Clean Architecture design patterns.
  • Ability to write and maintain unit tests as applications evolve.
  • Experience designing applications that adhere to Android’s Design Guidelines.
  • Participation in the full lifecycle of at least one publicly available Android app.
  • Knowledge of Android accessibility features and building accessible experiences.
  • Familiarity with modern development principles (trunk-based development, feature toggles, branch by abstraction).
  • Strong understanding of CI / CD tools such as GitLab , Artifactory , and SonarQube .
  • Experience delivering software in an Agile environment and collaborating in code reviews, pull requests, and pair programming.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with legacy layouts and migrating XML-based code.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., MokK, Mockito).
  • Knowledge of mobile analytics and telemetry tools like Firebase or Instabug.
