Job description

Licensing Specialist, Gaming

This position is an administrative position responsible for managing, processing, and renewing licenses and permits to ensure the company adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. They maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation, verify credentials, and act as a liaison between the company and regulatory bodies.

General duties include:

  • Prepare, review, and submit initial and renewal gaming license applications for corporate entities and key personnel.
  • Interact daily with Gaming Commissions and Regulatory Authorities to coordinate submissions, respond to inquiries, and handle audits or investigations.
  • Expeditiously processes requests by Regulatory Authorities for additional information, documentation, and fees for the company and key personnel to obtain/renew the company's gaming licenses.
  • Liaise with Regulatory Authorities on behalf of key personnel regarding Regulatory Authorities' audits, investigations, and interviews on behalf of the company and/or key personnel.
  • Meticulously maintain all company and key personnel documents with the highest level of confidentiality (gaming applications, fingerprint cards, driver's license, social security cards, birth certificates, and other related documents).
  • Monitor the day-to-day licensing process (i.e. Review applications for completion, track status, and submissions Regulatory Authorities).
  • Monitor, research, and update the company on changing gaming license requirements, laws, and regulations across various jurisdictions.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Must have 3 years' experience in Gaming Industry.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience with gaming regulations, such as Tribal-State Compacts, NIGC regulations, or state gaming control board requirements.
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Ardent Sky.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, drug screen, and credit check.
  • Proficient in computer software systems including MS Office and Excel.

Physical demands include:

  • Must be able to stand, walk and lift for up to 8 hours daily.

  • Moderately loud noise levels in plant environment.
