Job description

Position: Ariel Lineman

Company: Essel

Essel is seeking a dedicated and skilled Ariel Lineman to join our team. As an Ariel Lineman, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead electrical power lines and related equipment to ensure safe and reliable electric service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Climb poles and work from bucket trucks to install, maintain, and repair power lines.
  • Inspect electrical lines and equipment for damage or defects and perform necessary repairs.
  • Follow established safety procedures to ensure personal and team safety during all operations.
  • Collaborate with other crew members to complete assigned projects on schedule.
  • Operate hand and power tools and equipment required for overhead electrical work.
  • Respond to emergency outages and perform restoration work as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues to supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Lineman apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ariel Lineman or in overhead electrical line work.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to safely climb poles and work at heights.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous manual labor.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
