Key Responsibilities

• Apply principles of aseptic technique to equipment preparation, maintenance, and procedural assistance, identifying any potential compromise to sterile or High-Level Disinfection integrity throughout procedures.
• Disassemble and inspect endoscopes and accessories; perform all pre-cleaning requirements including leak testing, cleaning, High-Level Disinfection (HLD), and identification of needed repairs in accordance with regulatory standards and established protocols.
• Determine appropriate High-Level Disinfection methods based on material and manufacturer instructions; check and calibrate equipment according to established protocols.
• Store reprocessed endoscopes and accessories following facility protocols for equipment storage.
• Perform ambulatory technician duties as assigned, including obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients.

Required Qualifications

• Prior travel assignment experience required; candidates must have completed at least one travel assignment to be eligible.
• No specific licensure or certifications required for the role.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• High-Level Disinfection (HLD) certification highly encouraged.
• Experience with endoscope reprocessing, including inspection, leak testing, and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards governing endoscope reprocessing and sterile technique.
