Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in systems programming and secure software development. This hands-on technical leadership role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can translate advanced cryptographic technologies into secure, scalable, production-ready software.
The successful candidate will influence software architecture, develop security-critical components, optimize performance, mentor engineers, and help deliver high-quality products in security-sensitive environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize cryptographic and security-sensitive software using C/C++.
- Build and maintain production-quality software for secure, cloud-native environments.
- Drive architectural decisions focused on security, scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Develop Python-based automation, testing frameworks, developer tools, and maintenance utilities.
- Review code for correctness, memory safety, concurrency, performance, and secure coding best practices.
- Implement and support secure networking technologies, including TLS, IPsec, and related communication protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver customer-ready software solutions.
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing while helping elevate overall engineering quality.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant C/C++ systems development.
- Demonstrated experience developing cryptographic, cybersecurity, or other security-sensitive software.
- Strong understanding of cryptographic implementation, secure coding practices, performance optimization, and software correctness.
- Experience optimizing low-level systems software for performance, reliability, and security.
- Proficiency with Python for automation, testing, scripting, and developer tooling.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in complex software environments.
- Experience with Git-based development workflows.
- Solid understanding of memory management, concurrency, compiler toolchains, and Linux/POSIX operating systems.
- Working knowledge of networking protocols and secure communications, including TLS and/or IPsec.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing secure applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with container security, software supply chain security, image signing, SBOM generation, and vulnerability management.
- Experience working with virtualization technologies such as QEMU or Linux KVM.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and best practices for incorporating them into secure engineering workflows.
- Experience building software for regulated, safety-critical, or other high-assurance environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Certifications
The following certifications are considered an asset:
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or equivalent
- Docker Certified Associate or equivalent
- AWS Certified Developer or similar cloud certification
- Linux Foundation Certified Engineer (LFCE), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or equivalent

- Competitive base salary of $150,000–$175,000 USD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
