Job description

**Job Brief **

Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring an Assembler/Aux Line for our client. This job is responsible for assembling interior and exterior components using hand and power tools, fastening and installing parts to build subassemblies, and ensuring products meet quality and production standards in a manufacturing environment.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

· Installation of all nonelectrical interior/exterior components and hardware.

· Bolts, screws, clips, or otherwise fastens together parts to form subassemblies, such as doors, seats, instrument control panels, steering columns, and axle units.

· Seals joints and seams, using caulking gun.

· Fastens seats, door paneling, headliners, carpeting, molding, and other trim into position.

· Assembles fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations.

· Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.

· Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

· High School Diploma or GED preferred

· Close attention to detail

· Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices (tape measure).

· Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.

· Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools such as: to drills, screw gun.

· General knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards is helpful.

· Function with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.

· Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.

· Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40lbs without assistance.

· Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions.

· Ability to work with arms above head.

· Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding.

· Ability to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day (minus specified breaks.)

· Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.

· Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery.

· Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

· Ability to handle and dispose of hazardous waste.

· Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.

You should be proficient in:

  • Machine Building/Assembling
  • Pneumatics Experience
  • Tape Measure Reading
  • Mechanical Assembly Skills
  • High School / GED
  • Blueprint Reading
