  • Work in a controlled clean room environment with top-tier safety standards.
  • Be part of a leading organization at the forefront of precision optics manufacturing.
  • Engage in technical, hands-on work that supports innovation and quality.

What’s a typical day as an Optical Assembler? You’ll be:

  • Actively aligning lenses and optical elements into metal housings using high-precision fixturing and metrology tools.
  • Using advanced tools such as air bearing spindles, autocollimators, alignment telescopes, precision stages, and indicators to meet micron and sub-micron tolerances.
  • Applying adhesives and permanently securing optics while maintaining alignment during curing.
  • Inspecting optical elements for defects and evaluating cosmetic and functional acceptability using defined optical inspection criteria.
  • Measuring critical features with micrometers, bore gauges, comparators, and dial indicators.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving assembly challenges, and collaborating with engineering and quality teams to improve processes.
  • Documenting alignment data, measurements, and build conditions with high accuracy.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required); technical certification or an associate degree in optics, precision manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Bring 3–5 years of hands-on experience in precision optical assembly, active optical alignment, or optical metrology.
  • Demonstrate proficiency achieving micron-level alignment accuracy in a production or lab setting.
  • Are skilled with advanced optical alignment and metrology equipment and can interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Possess strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Thrive working independently in a disciplined, clean room environment.
