Job description
:

Inserts Broach Assembly Operators, under direct supervision, load and unload parts to produce complex machined aerospace parts. Operators are responsible for in process inspection of machined product, which requires basic competencies in shop math, hand measuring tools and documentation. Operators are responsible for some deburr operations as well as basic preventative machine maintenance, which includes coolant and lube levels and area cleanliness.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Safely Load and unload product into a machine.
  • Interpret and follow work orders/instructions
  • Maintain traceability (Lot Numbers/Steel Dates/etc.)
  • Protect machines and machined product by following processes and procedures such as part loading, being in control of the machine, and safely transporting product over short distances.
  • Perform and record in-process inspection actions such as measuring and validating part features in light of customer supplied dimensional tolerances and specifications.
  • Perform first article and buyoff
  • Meets production demands
  • Interact with production tracking tools such as SyteLine to charge time to job orders and claim parts at the end of the shift.

Required Skills:

  • The ability to read and write English.
  • An introductory competence in shop math such as working with fractions and decimals.
  • A basic knowledge of inspection tools and their proper use.
  • Basic print reading
  • A basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical application regarding nuts and bolts.
  • A basic knowledge of part holding methods and procedures.

Required Experience:

  • This position requires basic experience working with mechanical processes and methods such as hand tools, and light equipment such as saws, drills and pneumatic tools.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $19.00 to $25.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
