Job Title: Assembly Operator I

Location: Fairview, NC 28730
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $17.61/hour
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire


Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Operator I to join our manufacturing team in Fairview, NC. This role supports the production of relays and switches for the aerospace industry through precision component assembly and inspection.

The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a keen attention to detail. This position requires working with small components using microscopes, hand tools, and detailed work instructions to ensure high-quality output.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble components using small hand tools and fixtures
  • Inspect own work using quality standards, work instructions, and product prints
  • Perform pull tests as required for specific operations
  • Measure components using calipers, gauges, and other precision tools
  • Complete production documentation to ensure product traceability
  • Read and follow blueprints and work instructions accurately
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety (EH&S) guidelines
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings preferred
  • Experience using measuring devices (calipers, gauges, etc.) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production goals

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
  • Ability to operate machinery and move between workstations
  • Ability to work with small components, including use of a microscope
  • Must be able to read and understand written instructions in English
