[job_card.job_description]Overview / Summary We are seeking a Senior IBM Sterling OMS Developer to join the Order Management engineering organization. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in complex enterprise environments and demonstrates strong engineering fundamentals, including clean code, disciplined testing, and secure software delivery. The position focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing solutions on the IBM Sterling Order Management System platform to support end-to-end commerce operations. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance solutions on the IBM Sterling OMS platform Work on order management capabilities including order capture, sourcing, fulfillment orchestration, inventory visibility, payments, cancellations, returns/exchanges, and customer care workflows Configure and extend OMS core modules Implement customized workflows, integrations, and event-driven processes Contribute to customizations for Sterling Order Hub and Sterling Next Gen Call Center Build scalable, reliable, and high-performance OMS solutions Ensure code quality through disciplined unit testing and maintainable design Participate in code reviews and mentor team members Troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose effective solutions Collaborate with stakeholders across teams Required Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on IBM Sterling OMS development/implementation experience in enterprise environments Strong expertise in OMS functional and technical areas, including orchestration workflows and core OMS modules Experience in participant modeling and process modeling (Sales, Returns & Exchanges, Purchase/DropShip, Transfer Orders) Experience with sourcing, payment processing, inventory management, agents, event-driven automation, and background processes Experience with SDF, catalog, pricing/repricing, and tax-related recalculations (as applicable) Experience working with containerized versions of IBM Sterling OMS Experience customizing IBM Sterling OrderHub and CallCenter modules Strong hands-on development experience in Core Java Experience with RESTful services, JSON, and integration patterns Solid knowledge of SQL and data troubleshooting Strong understanding of OOP, design principles, debugging, performance, and code maintainability Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit/Mockito or equivalent) Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders Bachelor’s Degree What Makes HTC A Great Place To Build Your Future HTC Global Services wants you to join our team.
