Job description

Consulting Manager (Capital Markets Consulting)

Cognizant Consulting is more than Cognizant's consulting practicewe're a global community of experts dedicated to helping clients reimagine their business. Blending deep industry knowledge with technology advisory capabilities, we support transformation initiatives across complex business and data landscapes. And now, we're looking for our next colleague to help shape capital markets consulting engagements.

As a Consulting Manager (Capital Markets Consulting), you will make an impact by leading client-facing consulting engagements focused on analyzing and transforming capital markets workflows across the trade lifecycle. You will be a valued member of the Capital Markets Consulting team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead requirements gathering and consulting discussions with clients and business stakeholders across capital markets workflows
  • Translate business requirements into detailed system specifications, process diagrams, and implementation-ready deliverables
  • Design and implement transformation mapping logic for orders, trades, and financial product data across fixed income, equities, and FX
  • Develop canonical data models and mapping frameworks spanning upstream and downstream capital markets systems
  • Lead technical workstreams for system modernization, data platform transformation, and process optimization initiatives

Work model Hybrid

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring time in a client or Cognizant office. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs.

The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you're engaged in, as well as business and client requirements. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.

What you must have to be considered

  • Strong experience in requirements gathering and client-facing consulting within capital markets environments
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis, and scripting (Python or similar)
  • Experience designing and implementing transformation mappings for orders, trades, and financial products
  • Knowledge of capital markets asset classes including fixed income, equities, and FX
  • Experience with OMS/EMS systems, trade lifecycle events, and market data integration

These will help you succeed

  • Experience in IT consulting engagements or large-scale transformation programs
  • Familiarity with canonical data models, trade surveillance, or regulatory reporting
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and modern data architectures
  • Experience leading technical teams or managing consulting workstreams

We're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Don't hesitate to apply, even if you meet only the minimum requirements listed. Think about your transferable skills and consulting experience that can bring value to this role.

What we offer

  • The chance to work with impact. Here, you're empowered to bring your biggest thinking to help our company and clients improve everyday life.
  • Ownership over your career. Stay at the top of your game through our award-winning learning and development ecosystem. And when your ambitions change or we offer new opportunities, we help you pivot by providing reskilling, on-the-job learning and guidance to find new roles that might be a better fit.
  • The opportunity to thrive on a high caliber team with heart. We celebrate each other's experiences and perspectives and promote a sense of belonging through our affinity groups and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • A comprehensive total rewards package, including a competitive salary and a pension plan with matching contributions.
  • Flexible health and financial benefits to support you and your eligible dependentsfrom day one.
  • True work-life balance. Be at your best through paid time off, flexible work arrangements, volunteering opportunities, social events, and so much more.
