Job Title : CAD Technician Job Description
Join an international multidisciplinary firm as a CAD Technician, where you will play a key role in drafting and designing using AutoCAD to support projects related to coastlines, harbors, and transportation. This position is based in either Oakland or Walnut Creek and requires at least three years of experience in AutoCAD drafting for civil engineering projects. A Bachelor's or Associate's degree is preferred, and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
Responsibilities
- Transform initial rough designs, sketches, and redlines into finished graphics and construction documents.
- Assist the CAD Manager with designs for site development and transportation projects.
- Draft detailed drawings for various structures including cargo terminals, marinas, bridges, and hydraulic structures.
- Review engineering drawings to ensure compliance with established CAD standards.
- Conduct 2D and 3D CAD modeling.

The position is onsite in either Walnut Creek or Oakland, fostering a close-knit office environment. The team enjoys social activities like happy hours and lunches, and participates in team-building events such as attending Mariner games. The office takes pride in its low turnover rates, which contribute to strong continuity within the team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00 / hr.
