Role Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Role Type: Contractor

Location: Remote

micro1 is selecting Litigation Associate Attorneys to contribute to a dynamic legal project for a prominent client. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. This opportunity is ideally suited for professionals with a background at top-tier US law firms who are passionate about leveraging their litigation and transactional law expertise to impact the future of technology.

Scope of Work

  1. Research, analyze, and provide detailed insights on litigation matters involving M&A, private equity, and capital markets.
  2. Draft, review, and assess a wide range of contracts and legal documents to identify key issues and ensure clarity and accuracy.
  3. Contribute legal expertise to multidisciplinary teams in a fully remote environment, collaborating effectively with other legal and technical professionals.
  4. Assess matters pertaining to data privacy and regulatory compliance, identifying potential risks and best practices for AI training scenarios.
  5. Offer subject matter feedback on hypothetical and real-world legal scenarios to support the development of advanced AI models.
  6. Participate in remote discussions and reviews, ensuring all input is clear, well-reasoned, and thoroughly documented.
  7. Adapt to evolving project requirements and apply legal knowledge flexibly across various litigation and transactional contexts.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. JD or equivalent from a leading US law school and active bar membership in the United States.
  2. Recent experience at a top-tier US law firm specializing in litigation, M&A, private equity, or capital markets.
  3. Proven ability to draft, review, and interpret complex contracts and transactional documents.
  4. Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and their implications for technology and digital assets.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and precision.
  6. Comfort with remote collaboration and experience working in multidisciplinary or cross-functional teams.
  7. Experience providing rubric-based legal analysis or feedback is a plus.
