Who You Are

You are a Cloud Engineer with a strong foundation in systems administration, cloud technologies, and enterprise IT infrastructure. You excel in managing and optimizing Active Directory, VMware, storage, and backup solutions , ensuring security, scalability, and high availability. With deep expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), virtualization, and automation , you proactively enhance cloud and on-prem environments to align with business needs. Your ability to troubleshoot complex systems, implement security best practices, and drive process improvements makes you a critical contributor to IT operations. A problem-solver at heart, you thrive in dynamic environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and efficient cloud solutions.

This position is a hybrid position, located in Syracuse, NY (2-3 times a week in-office). This role may also be considered for our Davie, FL or Fort Lauderdale, FL location.

What You'll Do

Systems Administration & Management

• Administer and maintain Active Directory , including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, user / group management, and security configurations.
• Manage and optimize VMware environments , including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Pure Storage Arrays , ensuring optimal performance and data availability.
• Oversee Dell PowerProtect backup systems , managing backup policies, data recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Support and enhance Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployments, ensuring a seamless and secure virtual desktop experience for users.
