Job description:

CNC Machine Shop Lead Inspector
Location: Temecula, CA

We are looking for a Lead Inspector to join our CNC machine shop. This position plays a key role in maintaining the highest level of accuracy and quality across all machined parts.

Key Duties:

  • Perform inspections with precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges
  • Program and run CMM equipment to carry out detailed inspections
  • Work with Verisurf software to develop and evaluate inspection routines
  • Review blueprints and engineering drawings to confirm part requirements
  • Record, track, and report inspection results, including nonconformances
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior inspectors to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Partner with machinists and engineers to resolve quality issues and support process improvements

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience as a quality inspector within a CNC machining environment
  • Skilled in the use of both manual and digital measuring instruments
  • Strong background in CMM operation and programming
  • Familiarity with Verisurf software is highly desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings with accuracy
  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and organizational skills
  • Proven leadership abilities with strong communication and team development skills

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Pay range: $28 – $35 per hour, based on experience
  • Full-time, weekday schedule
  • Benefits package offered
