A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Specialist, FT and Per Diem Available, Remote (PA, NJ Candidates).
Key Responsibilities
Codes and abstracts diagnosis and procedure information from patient medical records according to coding conventions and guidelines
Maintains a 95% data quality coding accuracy rate and meets daily productivity and turnaround times
Participates in departmental meetings and education sessions while assisting in training of new personnel
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
AHIMA Certified : CCS, RHIA, or RHIT required
Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated ICD-10-CM inpatient and / or outpatient coding experience
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and medical terminology is required
Experience with EPIC health information systems and 3M encoding system preferred
Candidates must obtain their AHIMA credential within three years of hire date to retain the position
