Experience working with IBM Cognos Data Analytics 11x Very good knowledge in SQL using IBM DB2 Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex Cognos BI and performance issues. Knowledge of JavaScript & HTML. Linux experience is preferred High-level project management skills. Ability to solve complex software system issues. Good communication & interpersonal skills. Cognos Lead Developer will design and develop specified enterprise reports and dashboards following Cognos development best practices and using IBM Cognos 11x. Should have a strong understanding of SQL, Cognos administration, data modules, data sets, framework manager, dynamic cubes, and dimensional report functions. Should be an expert in building reports and developing dashboards using Cognos Analytics. Responsible for the Installation configuration, administration, developer support, code deployment, security administration, data analysis, querying and troubleshooting and on-call support of the reporting and analytical solutions for the business community. Responsible for support and upgrade environments to Cognos v11 & up and for internal customer (reporting developers) facing activities of proposing solutions, and validating that these solutions meet the needs of the business. Cross-train and coordinate with team members in order to provide seamless and consistent system support. Proactively develop, coordinate, and provide on-going training, functional, and technical direction to the super-users Create documentation for project status reports, timelines, project issues and risks, change requests, requirements, design, testing plans and test cases as needed for assigned projects. Define and document application best practices, required standards, processes, and guidelines regarding the use and administration of the BI tools. Partners and consults with business partners to understand their business requirements; recommends / designs research and analysis to improve business performance. Meeting with technology managers and the design team to discuss the goals and needs of the project
