Component Engineer to support the commercialization and manufacturing scale-up of a complex robotic medical device platform. This individual will serve as a critical bridge between Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Contract Manufacturing partners by ensuring electronic components are properly created, managed, and released throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Create, maintain, and release electrical components through Agile PLM following established change-control processes.
  • Develop and maintain component symbols, footprints, and models within Altium Designer to support ongoing product development and sustaining engineering activities.
  • Ensure component data is accurately established and synchronized between Altium and Agile PLM prior to design and manufacturing releases.
  • Partner closely with Electrical Engineers to understand component requirements and support implementation within board-level designs.
  • Support component lifecycle management activities including obsolescence monitoring, alternate component identification, supplier transitions, and risk mitigation planning.
  • Perform BOM reviews and analyses to validate component availability, lifecycle status, sourcing strategy, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Contract Manufacturing partners to resolve component-related issues and ensure uninterrupted production support.
  • Maintain and improve component library quality, governance, and standardization practices across engineering systems.
  • Support legacy component updates, engineering change orders, and documentation activities throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Assist with compliance reviews related to material declarations, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
