Job Title: Pipe Assembler
Job Description
This role focuses on the precise assembly of lube oil consoles, gas conditioning skids, and related skidded equipment that support the global energy industry. You will interpret drawings and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), assemble and bolt piping systems, and troubleshoot assembly issues to ensure high-quality, safe, and reliable systems.
Responsibilities
- Assemble piping systems for skidded equipment, including lube oil consoles and gas conditioning skids, in accordance with arrangement drawings, P&IDs, and parts lists.
- Read and interpret blueprints, arrangement drawings, and piping and instrumentation diagrams to determine proper assembly and layout.
- Perform bolting of piping systems, including flanged and gasketed connections, while adhering to specified torque requirements.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, such as drills and grinders, to complete assembly tasks safely and accurately.
- Drill and tap holes up to 1/2 inch in diameter as required for assembly and mounting.
- Operate tow motors (forklifts) to move materials and components safely within the facility.
Essential Skills
- Experience in assembly production, specifically assembling pipe with bolted flange connections using arrangement drawings and corresponding parts lists (at least 1 year preferred).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, arrangement drawings, and P&IDs for piping systems.
- Hands-on experience using hand and power tools, including drills and grinders, in a production or fabrication environment.
- Ability to perform drilling and tapping of holes up to 1/2 inch in diameter.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience assembling world-class lube oil consoles, gas conditioning skids, or similar skidded equipment is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities in a mechanical assembly environment.
- Ownership of a comprehensive personal tool set, including: wrench set; ratchet and sockets; crescent wrenches; hex/Allen key set; pry bar set; C-clamps; dead blow hammer; small sledge hammer; level set; tape measure; pliers; channel locks; vise grips; center punch; square; razor knife; flashlight; plumb bob; screwdriver set; air gun; tap handle; and pipe wrenches.
- Ability to work effectively on either first or second shift as needed.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a focus on producing high-quality work.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a 102,000-square-foot, climate-controlled, well-lit production facility focused on assembling complex piping systems and skidded equipment. You will use hand and power tools, welding equipment, tow motors, and overhead and jib cranes as part of your daily work. The role operates on a shift schedule with a first shift from 7:30 . to 3:30 . and a second shift from 3:30 . to midnight. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to OSHA and site safety standards, while providing a comfortable indoor climate suitable for year-round work.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Buffalo, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $31.00/hr.
