Rack Integration
- Install rack rails and mount servers into rack configurations
- Verify system status indicators across servers, switches, modems, and routers
- Ensure proper power connections for servers and network devices
- Install and validate all cabling, including network and power connections
- Label cables and racks in accordance with CCD standards
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of rack components and their basic functions
- Perform racking, stacking, and cabling of servers, storage, and networking equipment within a data center environment
- Identify and communicate quality concerns effectively to peers and supervisors
Assembly Responsibilities
- Prepare for assembly by reviewing manufacturing process instructions (MPI), blueprints, and parts lists
- Gather and verify required parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Unpack chassis and prepare units for production
- Assemble components, ensuring proper fit and secure connections
- Scan component serial numbers into the manufacturing system for tracking purposes
- Inspect and label servers and accessories according to bill of materials (BOM) requirements
- Package completed servers for shipment
- Complete required production and quality documentation
General Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and ESD-compliant work environment
- Follow all company procedures, safety rules, and 5S standards
- Support production operations as needed, including audits and inventory counts
- Work overtime as required to meet business needs
- Follow direction from Floor Supervisors on assigned tasks
- Contribute to team objectives and support overall production goals
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred
- Prior assembly experience in the electronics or computer hardware industry preferred
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, production orders, and process documentation
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and light power tools
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Capable of performing tasks that involve sitting, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and repetitive hand/arm movements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 lbs
- Comfortable using a computer and working on a screen for extended periods
Preferred Skills
- Soldering experience is a plus, but not required
Pay range offered for this position is between $18.00 to $22.00/hour. This can be subject to change based on the candidate's experience level and skill set.
