Job Title: Production Assembler
Job Description

The Production Assembler assembles, programs, and tests custom products in a team-based, lean manufacturing environment. This role focuses on building high-quality mechanical and electrical assemblies while following established safety procedures and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom products using mechanical and electrical components according to schematics and blueprints.
• Perform electrical assembly, including wiring and wire harness assembly, following detailed diagrams and instructions.
• Assemble and wire panels, harnesses, and other electrical control assemblies with accuracy and consistency.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete production tasks.
• Program and test assembled products to verify proper operation and quality standards.
• Inspect work for accuracy, functionality, and adherence to quality specifications throughout the assembly process.
• Follow lean manufacturing practices to minimize waste, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and resolve assembly or quality issues.
• Lift and move materials and products, including items weighing up to 40 pounds, as part of daily tasks.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing for entry-level assembler roles (Level 1).
• 2+ years of assembly experience for advanced assembler roles (Level 2).
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience with electrical assembly, including wiring and terminations.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.
• Experience with wire harness assembly and panel or electrical control assembly.
• Proficiency using common hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, lean manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting assembled products or electrical controls.
• Ability to follow standardized work instructions and production procedures.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.

Work Environment

This role operates in a production and manufacturing facility focused on lean, team-based workflows. The standard schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 . to 2:30 ., providing predictable daytime hours. Work involves regular use of hand tools and power tools at individual workstations and assembly areas. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to established procedures while handling mechanical and electrical components and lifting items up to 40 pounds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $22.00/hr.
