KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Computer Engineer II, to join our team.

This position will require onsite work at NIWC in Charleston, SC.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Established in July 2013, KAIROS, Inc. is a growing Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in Life Cycle Program Management, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Logistics and Sustainment, Enterprise Platforms and AI, and Additive Manufacturing services focused on optimizing customers’ program performance and mission through proven methodologies and ethical practices.

Our headquarters is in California, MD near Naval Air Station Patuxent River.

This position will develop, create, and modify computer applications software or specialized utility programs.

Primary Duties:

  • Collects information on project specifications, performance requirements, and known capabilities and limitations.
  • Determines hardware system status and limitations by gathering and evaluating information on a variety of factors including security and reporting needs.
  • Reviews and modifies existing software to improve performance, correct errors, and conform with compatibility requirements of available hardware.
  • Determines feasibility of proposed application modifications or design, ensuring the needs and requirements of the user will be met within time and cost requirements Designs applications and systems to meet the project requirements, collaborating with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and other developers as needed.
  • Develops and leads software system testing and validation procedures; compiles relevant documentation.
  • Trains, or provide training documentation to, users on new or modified applications.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong customer relations, analytics, and documentation skills Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality Microsoft office suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment Ability to work independently Ability to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlines Detail oriented Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues Ability to adapt to evolving technology Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science Three (3) years of experience in computer design, software development or computer networks One (1) year of technical experience in support of Penetration Testing or certified Red Team.

Experience may be achieved simultaneously Must have one of the following certifications:

  • - Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) - Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE) - Offensive Security Exploitation Expert (OSEE) - Offensive Security Exploit Developer (OSED) - Offensive Security Experienced Pentester (OSEP) - Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP) - Offensive Security Web Expert (OSWE) - Hack The Box Certified Penetration Testing Specialist (HTB CPTS) - Hack The Box Certified Bug Bounty Hunter (HTB CBBH) - Certified Red Team Operator (CRTO) from Zero Point Security - Certified Red Team Lead (CRTL) from Zero Point Security - Practical Network Penetration Tester (PNPT) - GIAC Red Team Professional (GRTP) - GIAC Experienced Penetration Tester (GX-PT) - GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN) Clearance: This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S.
  • Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation.
  • This position requires an Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
