Job description

Engineering Administrator

Nesco Resource is in search of an Engineering Administrator to join our clients team at their Milford, CT location. We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Engineering Administrator to provide administrative and operational support to an engineering team. This position will assist with project documentation, scheduling, communications, purchasing, reporting, and day-to-day departmental coordination. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a technical environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. This role reports to the VP of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the VP of Engineering and engineering team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing reports.
  • Assist with the preparation, coordination, organization, and filing of project documentation, including design specifications, reports, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain and organize engineering records, drawings, and other important documentation to ensure information is accurate and easily accessible.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Engineering Department and other internal teams to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and invoices and assist with budget tracking related to engineering projects.
  • Assist with presentations, proposals, and other materials for client meetings and internal reviews.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of engineering resources, including personnel, equipment, and facilities.
  • Monitor project timelines and assist in ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Support engineering teams with administrative tasks such as data entry, report generation, and project tracking.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
  • Assist with coordinating training sessions, team meetings, and departmental activities.
  • Ensure documentation and reporting are completed in accordance with applicable engineering standards and company policies.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with engineering terminology and processes is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of an engineering team.

Additional Information:

  • 6 month temp to hire
  • 1st shift, Monday Friday, 8am 5pm
  • Pay: $20/hour
