About this position:
The Symitar Programmer role is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of Symitar core processing applications and related software systems. This role will work independently or as part of a team to design, develop, and deploy solutions that meet the business requirements of the credit union in using Symitar.
What You'll Do:
Design, develop, test, and implement Symitar PowerOn.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for system enhancements and optimizations.
Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in Symitar applications.
Document technical designs, processes, and procedures.
Adhere to and champion our core values of curious minds, collaborative hearts, and continuous excellence.
What You'll Bring:
3+ years of experience in Symitar programming and development.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proficiency in Symitar PowerOn and HTML/JavaScript.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with project management methodologies.
