Salary Range: $56,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and validate CMM inspection programs from 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to establish measurement strategies.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain CMM equipment and probing systems.
• Analyze measurement data, generate comprehensive inspection reports, and document results.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve measurement issues and improve part quality.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process checks using CMM.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing CMM programs for efficiency and accuracy.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications.
• Experience with various CMM hardware and probing systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, metrology, and quality control standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with multiple CMM software platforms (e.g., Calypso, MCOSMOS, PolyWorks)
• Proficiency in CAD software for model manipulation and fixture design
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis
• Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners)
