The Programmer Analyst is responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing technical solutions, developing applications, and supporting system enhancements. This role bridges business needs and technical implementation by evaluating workflows, writing and testing code, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring application performance and reliability. The Programmer Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams and operates effectively in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications

Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications

Maintain and enhance existing systems and applications

Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues

Conduct code reviews and participate in quality assurance processes

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather system requirements

Develop documentation for technical specifications and user guides

Support system integration and data migration initiatives

Ensure compliance with security standards and coding best practices

Participate in continuous improvement and system optimization efforts
Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

3–6 years of experience in software development or systems analysis

Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, SQL)

Experience with relational databases and database design

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud-based application development

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services

Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines

Knowledge of data modeling and reporting tools

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, AWS)
Compensation
-
Annual Salary Range: $85,000 – $115,000 USD, based on experience, programming expertise, and project scope
