Fall Programming Intern
Have you ever wondered how series are selected and scheduled to air on television? Weigel Broadcasting in Chicago, IL is offering an exciting internship opportunity for college students to gain hands-on experience crafting nationally-broadcast television schedules. Learn the ins and outs of programming while meeting experienced professionals in the industry. All interns will receive an hourly rate of pay. Weigel Broadcasting Co. does not subsidize housing.
What You'll Do:
- Work with our programming team to create broadcast television schedules for air
- Design "stunt" programming for holidays and special events
- Coordinate with our marketing department to promote programming over the air and on social platforms
- Learn about the entire broadcast process from scheduling to air
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
- Available to work 20 hours per week in the Chicago office
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
- Enthusiastic about pursuing a career in the media/entertainment industry
- Self-starter who is eager to learn and collaborate
- Great attention to detail

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $17.05/hour. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
