- Interpret and follow construction plans, blueprints, and specifications accurately.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and securing materials.
- Operate hand and power tools safely to perform tasks including measuring, cutting, and assembling.
- Assist in the installation of structural components, framing, drywall, and other building elements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and reporting hazards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project milestones are met on time.
- Load and unload construction materials, and transport them to designated areas.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance as needed.
- Comply with local building codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in general construction or a related labor role.
- Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient in using construction hand tools and power equipment.
- Knowledge of safety practices, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds), stand for long periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour construction safety preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or occasional weekends, as project schedules dictate.
