Job description

Quality Control Manager (QCM)

One of the nation’s leading General Contractors is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to support high-profile federal construction projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on quality professional who understands federal standards and thrives in fast-paced, federal project environments.

Why This Role Stands Out

This is a key leadership role on federal jobsites—not a paperwork-only position. You’ll be embedded with the project team, owning quality from pre-install through closeout and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest federal standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serve as the on-site Quality Control Manager for federal construction projects
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance with federal requirements
  • Ensure all work meets contract documents, plans, specifications, and applicable codes
  • Coordinate and lead preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and follow-up inspections
  • Manage inspections, testing, and documentation in accordance with project requirements
  • Interface with government representatives, inspectors, and project stakeholders
  • Track deficiencies, oversee corrective actions, and ensure closeout of punch items
  • Collaborate closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and subcontractors to drive quality proactively

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Quality Control Manager on federal construction projects
  • Experience on projects for USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, VA, or GSA strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and federal contract requirements
  • Strong documentation, communication, and leadership skills

Travel / Relocation

  • Travel or relocation to project sites is required

What’s Offered

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Living allowance and travel support
  • Strong benefits and long-term stability
  • Opportunity to work on high-visibility federal projects with a top-tier contractor

If you’ve got the federal QC experience and want to take your career to the next level apply online today or send your resume to Kenna Warren at kenna.warrengogpac.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
