About The Role
The Controller will manage all aspects of accounting operations, including oversight of a small finance team, monthly and annual close processes, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This position plays a critical role in supporting management with the financial insights needed to drive business decisions and ensure the continued success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a 2-person accounting team.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements and KPI reporting.
- Assist in preparation and analysis of annual budgets, forecasts, and departmental financial performance.
- Manage cash flow, payments, and banking relationships to ensure financial stability and efficiency.
- Review payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger activities for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors on annual filings and compliance.
- Maintain our ERP System, and work to improve the functionality of the ERP system companywide.
- Develop and improve internal accounting processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and control.
- Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed.
