Are you a seasoned accounting professional ready to lead a department without the "billion-dollar corporate" red tape? We are representing a well-established, precision manufacturing firm in Clearwater seeking a Financial Controller who values people as much as they value a clean balance sheet.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to "order people around." We are looking for a solid, hands-on accountant to run day-to-day operations, oversee a small but highly capable administrative team, and ensure accurate reporting for the Owner and VP. You will be the steady, technical anchor of the company’s financial health, providing the data needed for the business to thrive.
Pay will be based on experience.
Full-Cycle Financial Management: Oversee all plant accounting operations, including the preparation of balance sheets, financial statements, and cash flow projections.
Closing Mastery: Execute monthly and annual closing processes with precision, ensuring all financial reports are ready for leadership review.
Team Leadership: Provide supportive oversight to two long-standing department professionals (AR/AP and Front-Office). These team members know their roles well; they are looking for a leader who values their input and treats them as part of the approval process.
Manufacturing Operations: Perform and review inventory adjustments and assist with physical inventory processes to ensure accurate valuation.
Compliance & Filings: Manage payroll processing, tax filings, and required state business filings.
Systems Oversight: Utilize the company’s ERP platform (Epicor Kinetic) to maintain accurate records and provide operational insights to leadership.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
Technical Expertise: 5–10 years of accounting experience, specifically with a strong understanding of inventory accounting and cash flow management.
Industry Background: Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
ERP Proficiency: Experience working with ERP systems is essential; experience with Epicor is a significant advantage.
