Senior Finance Manager

Insomniac produces 10,000 concerts, club nights and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe. Since its inception, Insomniac's events have taken place in 13 countries across five continents. The company's premiere annual event, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, is the world's largest dance music festival and attracts more than 525,000 fans over three days. The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.
Insomniac is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to support various key operations for F1 apparel including month-end close, budgeting and forecast, reporting and analysis, and strategy. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have knowledge of GAAP, have strong communication skills and be highly organized. This position reports to the Controller.
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close tasks (journal entries, inventory analysis, event flash, etc.) in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements
- Oversee financial statement management, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis for product licensing for all sales channels for F1 apparel
- Drive results to improve profitability through variance analysis, cost control, and strategic planning
- Key strategic business partner to leadership team by advising on growth initiatives, margin pricing strategies, and ROI
- Lead annual budget process and long-range planning forecast
- Manage all aspects of the P&L by tracking revenue and costs
- Analyze key operational metrics
- Develop process improvements to streamline reporting, forecast, and licensing royalty reporting
- Supervisor of accounting coordinator
- Assist with ad hoc projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA a plus
- 8-10+ years of experience in accounting or/and finance in CPG and retail required
- Experience mentoring staff and leading cross-functional teams
- Advanced technical skills, including Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and data visualization tools
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
- Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
- Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
