Job Details This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing finance professional who enjoys being on the plant floor, influencing business decisions, and serving as a trusted advisor to operational leadership. The Plant Controller will own all plant financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, project accounting, internal controls, and performance analysis while helping guide key business and capital investment decisions. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary financial business partner to the Plant Manager and leadership team, providing strategic insight and operational support. Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities for a $100 million + fabrication facility. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies. Oversee percentage-of-completion (POC) and project accounting activities for large fabrication projects. Analyze plant and project profitability, identify performance trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve results. Develop and maintain financial forecasts, annual budgets, and monthly rolling forecasts. Create and deliver KPI dashboards that support decision-making across sales, operations, project management, and executive leadership. Evaluate capital expenditure opportunities, including ROI analysis and business case development. Drive process improvements that strengthen internal controls, increase reporting efficiency, and enhance financial visibility. Support the CFO and COO on strategic initiatives, growth projects, and special analyses. What We're Looking For 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within manufacturing, construction, fabrication, or project-based environments. Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting. Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting and project-based financial analysis strongly preferred. Proven ability to partner with operations leaders and translate financial data into business decisions. Knowledge of internal controls, financial processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and business partnering abilities. Self-starter with a hands-on, collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA and/or MBA preferred. Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing, steel fabrication, construction, or industrial project environments is highly desirable. Why This Opportunity?
