Job description

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Controller to join their team for a remote role (CT) zone preferred. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $150,000 to $163,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Properly store records and reports in designated electronic file management systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proven experience with system implementation, and project management.
  • Experience with commercial real estate industry required..
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Yardi Voyager) require, Procure-to-Pay experience a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
