Position Summary
The Controller oversees all accounting operations, including accounts payable / receivable, payroll, financial reporting, and compliance. This role ensures accurate financial records and supports strategic decision-making through timely financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all accounting functions : AP, AR, payroll, purchasing, and reconciliations.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
Oversee budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Coordinate external audits and tax filings.
Monitor internal controls and implement improvements.
Support strategic planning and special projects.
Supervise accounting staff and manage departmental operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises accounting staff. Responsibilities include hiring, training, performance evaluations, and workflow management in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
CPA or CMA designation preferred.
Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with 5+ years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems).
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, adaptability, business acumen, ethical judgment, team leadership, and strategic planning abilities.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Primarily office-based with standard business hours. Must be able to sit for extended periods, use a computer, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Use of standard office equipment including computers, printers, and accounting software systems.
